The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a tragic occurrence in northwest Las Vegas. Authorities were called to a residence on Tuesday afternoon after receiving a distressing 911 call around 4:15 p.m., as reported by News 3 Las Vegas. Upon entering the home at the 10700 block of Attleboro Park Avenue, near Cliff Shadows Parkway and Alexander Road, a woman conducting a welfare check found the lifeless bodies of two individuals and immediately contacted the police.

Responding officers from the Northwest Area Command discovered a man and, a woman with what appeared to be stab wounds. According to 8 News Now, police had been alerted by a concerned family member who had gone to check on the occupants. The preliminary assessment by detectives suggests a heartbreaking narrative: the woman, in her late 20s, was allegedly fatally stabbed by the man, in his mid-50s, who is believed to have then turned the weapon on himself in a murder-suicide.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has yet to release the names of the deceased as the investigation continues. According to a homicide lieutenant cited by News 3 Las Vegas, detectives are digging into whether there had been previous domestic incidents or calls related to the residence.

For now, the Las Vegas police maintain that this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public. They are appealing to anyone with information to come forward and contact the LVMPD Homicide Section.
