Tragedy has struck in the Valley as police investigations unfold in the wake of two bodies discovered mere days apart. In south Phoenix, the Phoenix Police Department is currently investigating a situation that began just after 9 a.m. on Nov. 1, where a man was found dead near 23rd Avenue and Baseline Road. The deceased, identified as 21-year-old Latwan Xavier Dossie, was found with evidence suggesting he may have been hit by a vehicle. A gray-colored Audi is thought to be involved in the incident, FOX 10 Phoenix reported.
As the details surrounding Dossie's death remain shrouded in uncertainty, a second investigation has been initiated by Goodyear police after a man's body was discovered late Sunday morning. Found in a canal by a person fishing nearby, the body was found around 11:30 a.m. near South Sarival Avenue and MC 85. Detectives are approaching the incident as a body recovery operation, although specifics of the case are currently sparse. When the body was reported, the police confirmed its discovery, yet the identity and circumstances leading to the man's death remain undisclosed, as conveyed by ABC15.
In both instances, authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. Silent Witness is ready to receive information regarding the South Phoenix case at 480-948-6377.
