A 15-year-old boy from Port Orchard was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred last Thursday night. Authorities said the incident followed an arrangement to sell marijuana and alcohol to two 16-year-olds via Snapchat. The meeting took place outside a convenience store on the 3200 block of SE Lund Ave in Port Orchard, according to KOMO News.
The deal reportedly went wrong when the suspect arrived with only marijuana and not the alcohol, leading to a confrontation, deputies said. During the altercation, the 15-year-old allegedly used a knife to stab one of the 16-year-olds in the chest. Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies and Port Orchard Police responded to the scene around 11:15 p.m. and arrested the teen, as per a statement published by Kitsap Sun.
The injured teenager was taken to a hospital in Tacoma with serious injuries but is expected to recover. The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately indicate whether the two teens attempting to purchase drugs and alcohol would face charges. The 15-year-old is under investigation for first-degree assault following the incident.
