
Earlier today, a report of a stabbing in Portland's Centennial neighborhood brought police officers to a scene where they discovered a life tragically cut short. The Portland Police were summoned to the 900 block of Southeast 162nd Avenue following the distressing call. Upon arrival at approximately 3:43 a.m., responders found an individual who had suffered from fatal stab wounds, according to the City of Portland's official news release.
As the perpetrator or perpetrators had already fled the scene, the officers were not able to make any immediate arrests. The police have launched a homicide inquiry to thoroughly understand and quickly intervene in the circumstances surrounding this grim event. Detectives from the Portland Police Homicide Division are actively involved in the case, which remains under investigation, as per the City of Portland.
No public statement has been made by the Public Information Officer regarding this incident as of yet.
