Raleigh is ushering in the holiday season with a new community event. The Raleigh Police Department, in partnership with Raleigh Parks, is hosting "A Night with Santa," offering families an opportunity to enjoy festive activities, according to the city's announcement.
The free family-friendly event is scheduled for December 2 at Greystone Recreation Center and December 11 at Lions Park Community Center. Each session runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m., featuring opportunities for children to meet Santa and participate in holiday-themed crafts. Organizers recommend registering in advance to secure a spot.
The Raleigh Police Department's Community IMPACT and Engagement Division is taking the lead in this initiative. Major Eric Goodwin stated in an official announcement, "Events like this allow us to connect with our community in a positive, joyful way. Seeing families smiling, kids laughing, and everyone celebrating together really makes the season special."
