Raleigh Water will take its billing system offline from Saturday through November 11, to implement an upgraded customer billing portal. During this period, online account access and payment services will be unavailable, according to the City of Raleigh.
During this system downtime, which will conclude on the morning of November 12, customers will be unable to process water, stormwater, or solid waste payments online, in person, or by phone. The upgraded billing portal is scheduled to go live at 8:30 a.m. on November 12.
The temporary system shutdown also impacts service requests. Raleigh Water announced that requests to start, stop, or transfer service will not be processed during this period. Additionally, applications for financial assistance through Project Share will be on hold until the system comes back online.
Although staff and call center personnel will have limited access to customer account information, emergency services will continue without interruption. A dedicated emergency line is available at 919-996-3245.
