A 31-year-old man was taken into custody in Phoenix, Arizona, after being suspected of orchestrating the sex trafficking of an underage girl across multiple states, including California. The man, Deirdrick Dayvon Bradford, was arrested on Oct. 14, following a months-long investigation by the Riverside Police Department's Vice Unit that began in mid-August, as reported by KTLA. Bradford, identified as a registered sex offender, is now facing charges related to human trafficking of a minor, possession of child pornography, and pimping.

According to Riverside PD's Facebook post, an online platform had initially featured advertisements of the juvenile for commercial sex, which triggered the investigation that resulted in Bradford's apprehension. The Vice Unit, acting with the METRO Team and the support of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, obtained an arrest warrant before Bradford‘s arrest. They managed to locate and arrest Bradford, who tried to evade justice, in Phoenix, while working to capture fugitives and suspects who flee or enter Riverside.

Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez lauded the collaborative effort in a statement, "This investigation highlights the outstanding work of our Vice Unit and their relentless efforts to protect victims of human trafficking. With the support of our METRO Team and the U.S. Marshals Task Force, we were able to locate and arrest a dangerous offender who tried to evade justice." He further emphasized, "Their collaboration ensures that those who exploit the vulnerable are brought to answer for their crimes."

Ten days following his capture in Arizona, Bradford was extradited and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on October 24th, reported by KTLA, currently being held on bail of $85,000. The Riverside Police Department encourages anyone with relevant information connected to this case to immediately contact their Vice Unit by email or through their mobile app's "Send a Message" feature, which serves the purpose of capturing leads and information to support their ongoing investigations.
