Tampa's art scene is getting a youthful infusion with the new "Rising Voices: Creative Works by Hillsborough County Youth" installation open to the public at the County Center. This rotating exhibit series is set to showcase an array of student artworks sourced from across Hillsborough County, putting a spotlight on the diversity and inventiveness of the young creators within our community.
The initial exhibit, "Riverfest Reflections: Immersive Event Photography," features the handiwork of students from Blake High School, celebrating their take on 2025's Tampa Riverfest through a lens. These seven students, dabbling in professional photography for their first time, didn't just capture moments but seized an opportunity to start painting their futures in vivid hues and shadows. "Rising Voices" and the creative sparks it represents are brought to life with the aid of a Community Arts Impact Grant from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, according to an announcement on the council's website.
Set in the conveniently situated lobby of the County Center at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33602, the exhibit aims to be an easily reachable cultural pit-stop for residents. Over the course of the upcoming year, "Rising Voices" will cycle through six diverse exhibits that celebrate the imaginative power and developing prowess of Hillsborough's youthful artists.
