The Rock Community Fire Protection District is on a mission to bring smiles to the faces of children in need this holiday season. The district has kickstarted a Toy Drive and is calling on community members to contribute. Those interested can participate by donating new, unwrapped toys, which can be dropped off at any of the five firehouse locations within the district. "Help us spread joy this holiday season!" the Rock Community Fire Protection District's social media post exclaimed, emphasizing the collective effort to provide for children who might otherwise have little to celebrate.
Coordinated efforts have been put in place to ensure that the collected toys are to be distributed through the Salvation Army to local families that are experiencing hardship. The initiative has not only shown the fire district's commitment to community service but also reflects the uniting spirit of the season. "Your generosity can make the season brighter for a child in our community. Every toy counts!" the Rock Community Fire Protection District shared, highlighting the impact that even a single gift can have on a child's festive experience.
For those wishing to get more information or seeking clarity on how they can contribute, the Rock Community Fire Protection District has made available resources for public education. Alyson Rotter, the Public Education Coordinator, can be reached at 636-296-2211 X 7111.
