The Washington County, Wisconsin, Sheriff's Office shared on social media that they received multiple reports at 2:53 p.m. yesterday about the accident that sparked swift action from local law enforcement and fire departments.
First responders, among them deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Allenton Fire Department team, rushed to the scene to help. The sheriff's office reported that, while they were en route, a separate report came in regarding a person having a medical emergency in a different vehicle. An overturned SUV was discovered in the midst of the southbound lanes, its occupants already being aided by bystanders, and would soon be transported with suspected minor injuries to a local hospital for further evaluation.
The compounding vehicular mishap occurred when a full-size SUV, towing a trailer, inexplicably began to swerve, causing mayhem as it struck another vehicle. According to a communication from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, "The preliminary investigation determined that the SUV towing the trailer began to swerve across both southbound lanes as a result of the driver’s medical emergency," subsequently hitting the other SUV and resulting in its turnover.
