The accident, which has significantly impacted the morning commute and school drop-offs in the vicinity, prompted the Roseville Police Department to advise motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
The crash occurred prior to the release of the social media update from the City of Roseville. According to an announcement on their Facebook page, the roads were expected to remain shut down for an "extended period of time" due to the ongoing investigation. Maidu Elementary parents, trying to navigate the morning routine, found Johnson Ranch inaccessible via Rocky Ridge and had to use alternative routes to safely deliver their children to school.
