An incident involving three individuals reportedly armed with guns took place in Del Paso Heights, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old man identified as Dairous Oliver of Carmichael. According to a social media post by the Sacramento Police Department (SPD), officers responded to a call on November 18 where two juveniles were found carrying imitation firearms, with one also having an outstanding felony warrant.

Carrying a real firearm, the third individual, Oliver, fled from officers on foot after they found a revolver in his backpack. A SPD K9 officer later saw running through a residential backyard the suspect, leading to the deployment of a K9 unit that safely apprehended him. Oliver now faces weapons-related charges stemming from the incident.

The SPD praised the officers involved, posting on social media: "Our officers’ continued dedication to keeping our community safe!"

The adult suspect, Oliver, has been taken into custody, while authorities continue investigating the imitation firearms carried by the juveniles.
