
Georgia is set to welcome a hefty investment from Salesforce, Inc., as the tech giant announced plans to funnel $15 million into expanding its footprint within the state. The growth strategy is expected to create more than 250 new jobs in Fulton County by the close of 2028, a significant boost to the local labor market and economy. Governor Brian Kemp heralded the move, stating, “Our pro-business environment and workforce investments continue to pay off as companies again and again choose to operate and grow in communities across the state,” according to an official press release.
Salesforce, acclaimed for its CRM and cloud technology, isn't new to Georgia; it currently sustains over 2,000 jobs and serves a diverse clientele. In reinforcing its commitment to Atlanta, Tanya Counter, Salesforce's Atlanta Site Lead, expressed, “This expansion reflects both our confidence in Atlanta’s extraordinary talent and our commitment to building an inclusive, values-driven workplace,” in a statement quoted in the press release. The company's Atlanta hub, Salesforce Tower Atlanta, is a prominent feature on the city's business landscape.
The enthusiasm for Salesforce’s plans was echoed by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman, Robb Pitts. Dickens praised the diversity of talent and connectivity offered by the city, while Pitts underscored the vote of confidence from a global company in the community. Both leaders anticipate the upcoming expansion creating multifaceted opportunities for local growth and economy.
