A San Antonio pediatrician, Gabriel Moses Perez, age 50, has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child after a patient reported assault incidents during medical checkups. The alleged assault happened while the patient, then 13, was in a checkup without his mother present, and Perez has a history of misconduct accusations, including a formal complaint from February 2024 concerning a 17-year-old, according to information from court documents reported by Fox San Antonio and KSAT.
The investigation began after a 16-year-old said that Perez abused him during checkups when he was 12 and 13. He reported that Perez asked his mother to leave the room and then acted inappropriately, telling him to stay quiet. Perez had been his pediatrician since the boy was about 5 or 6. He has been released on bond since the allegations emerged, as reported by KSAT.
Further details from the arrest affidavit were shared by KSAT, where Perez denied the allegations but also admitted to hugging and kissing multiple patients when he felt they were stressed.
