Scottsdale’s Old Town Farmers Market is relocating after more than a decade at the parking structure on First Street and Brown Avenue. The market will move to the City Hall surface lot at 75th Street and Bennie Gonzales Way. The City Council approved the agreement on Monday to reduce disruptions while construction takes place to expand the original lot.
The relocation, planned for the 2026–27 season, is intended to allow the market to continue operating during construction. City Manager Greg Caton said, “The farmers market is one of Scottsdale’s most loved traditions,” according to the City of Scottsdale. “Moving it to City Hall keeps it close to the heart of Old Town and gives vendors and visitors the space they need while we make improvements elsewhere. It’s a win for residents, small businesses and the community as a whole.”
Since its start in 2009, the Old Town Farmers Market has operated on Saturdays from October through June. The market typically hosts about 100 vendors each week and serves as a regular gathering point for residents and visitors. Its activity also supports nearby businesses.
The market will continue to offer a variety of products and host community events that have been part of its regular schedule. It provides a space for local produce vendors, bakers, and artisans. As per the City of Scottsdale, “The market also collaborates with Scottsdale’s Senior Services and takes part in major city events like Western Week, Scottsdazzle and June Days.”
The market will operate at City Hall for up to 40 Saturdays each year, maintaining its regular schedule. According to city staff, the agreement allows the market to continue without requiring additional city resources or staffing.
