
A 70-year-old man, whose identity is currently withheld, has reportedly gone missing after taking a boat out on a test drive along the San Bernard River in Brazoria County. He was last spotted around noon on Monday, and concern grew when he failed to return from his excursion. According to KHOU, family members contacted authorities leading to a search initiated by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office alongside various partnering agencies.
The search, initially begun on Tuesday afternoon, has been halted temporarily due to challenging environmental conditions, it will resume Wednesday morning, this information was relayed by the Sheriff's Office, their efforts joined by multiple other agencies in a collective endeavor to locate the missing individual, as Click2Houston reported. In the meantime, the Sheriff’s Office has mentioned that there might be a notable increase in law enforcement presence around the area while the search is underway.
The search operations have gripped the local area as they focus on the section of the San Bernard River near FM 521 where the man was last seen; search efforts are complicated by the winding nature of the water and the unpredictability of such incidents.
