The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) is inviting the public to a neighborhood design workshop for the Downtown Skyline Station. According to HART’s website, the event will be held on Wednesday, November 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Aloha Tower Marketplace, Multipurpose Room 3. The workshop will focus on preliminary designs for the station at Nimitz Highway and Bishop Street.

The event is the fruit of collaboration between HART and the City Center Guideway and Stations (CCGS) contractor, Tutor Perini Corporation. Project representatives will be on deck, ready to display a brief presentation on station design and features. Designed for engagement, the gathering provides a stage for citizens to ask questions, interact with team members, and put forward their input on how the Downtown Station takes shape. As reported on HonoluluTransit.org, this workshop marks the first of two, aiming to involve community voices in the evolution of the Iwilei Station.
