A man was shot at a drive-through in northwest Houston while trying to escape a group of men wearing ski masks, Houston police said. Authorities are still investigating, and no one involved has been identified.
According to KHOU, Houston police described the assailants as men wearing ski masks and said the victim was shot while driving off. HPD Lt. Khan told the outlet, “right now, we don't know what led to the shooting,” and said officers were canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance video.

Detectives are now asking nearby residents and businesses to check any security recordings, from doorbell cameras to dash cams, for clues about the masked group or the shooting itself. Masked Ambushes Have Happened Here Before
This is not the first time masked gunmen have targeted someone in this part of town. On November 12, 2023, a man was fatally shot in the 4800 block of West 34th Street after being confronted by men in ski masks, an incident that also leaned heavily on witness statements and camera footage, as per Houston Chronicle.
