In a string of thefts sweeping through Sonoma Valley, residents have been dealing with months of stolen mail and packages. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has been actively investigating these incidents, which have led to the arrest of two individuals allegedly involved in these crimes.

A residence in Boyes Hot Springs became the focal point of the investigation as deputies from the Sonoma Valley Substation and the Sonoma Police Department zeroed in on their suspects. Last Thursday, their search of the premises in the 800 block of Boyes Boulevard unearthed more than just missing parcels. According to a social media post from Sonoma Sheriff, evidence of various mail and package thefts, stolen credit cards, checks, and drugs were recovered, along with signs of drug use accessible to a minor.

21-year-old Keny Castaneda-Tellez was arrested and charged with an array of offenses, including identity theft, credit card theft, and child cruelty. The investigation earlier led to the arrest of 35-year-old Eriberto Bejines, a Sonoma transient, on similar charges and the discovery of outstanding arrest warrants related to narcotics. Bejines was released, while Castaneda-Tellez's bail was set at $50,000.
