In an effort to tackle the growing hunger issues in St. Johns County, two landmark venues are stepping up the plate—literally. Come this Friday, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall will morph into makeshift pantries for the "Rock the Pantries" Food Drive. As reported by SJC Cultural Events, Inc., organizers are calling on the community to contribute non-perishable food items between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm on November 14, 2025, in a mass drive to restock depleted food banks.
With local food assistance programs noticing an uptick in demand, this initiative couldn't be more pressing. A variety of organizations stand to benefit, including Epic-Cure, Pie in the Sky Community Alliance, Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County, and St. Francis House. Each of these establishments play a critical role in serving the families, seniors, and individuals who are in need across the county. According to the St. Johns County official announcement, the goal is simple: replenish food pantries that are currently running on E.
For those interested in participating, the food drive is a no-frills, drop-off event. For the full list of accepted non-perishable food items and to get more details on the food drive, visitors can check out the St. Johns County website.
