Residents and visitors in the District of Columbia should prepare for traffic adjustments this weekend as the St. John’s Cadet Corps Marching Band Parade takes place. On Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., North Capitol Street will be affected by closures and parking restrictions.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, North Capitol Street from H Street to K Street NE/NW will be marked as Emergency No Parking and fully closed to vehicle traffic during the event. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.
Emergency No Parking signs will be posted, and vehicles parked in violation may be ticketed or towed. The Metropolitan Police Department recommends checking their traffic account on X (@DCPoliceTraffic) for real-time updates and any changes to the closure schedule, which may vary based on conditions.
