The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 58-year-old Ed Thomson on two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation. The arrest follows an investigation that began in December 2024 after a victim reported a prior incident of sexual abuse. According to a Facebook post on the Sheriff’s Office social media page, the victim alleged years of sexual abuse by Thomson, including inappropriate touching and behavior.
During the investigation, detectives identified a second victim who also reported prolonged sexual abuse. Last Thursday, a search warrant was executed at Thomson’s residence, resulting in the seizure of multiple electronic devices that may be relevant to the case. Thomson is being held without bond at the St. Johns County Jail.
