
The SLATE Missouri Job Center will host its annual Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair on December 4 and December 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 1520 Market Street. The event will feature more than fifteen employers offering opportunities in fields such as transportation, healthcare, and IT, as reported by the City of St. Louis.
According to the City of St. Louis, organizations including Southwest Airlines, Procter & Gamble, Abbott, St. Louis Community College, and the Urban League are set to participate. Additional employer and training partners are expected to join as the event approaches.
Prospective attendees are encouraged to update their profiles at jobs.mo.gov before the fair. SLATE’s Executive Director, Connie Johnson, said, “As families prepare for the holidays, many are also looking for new opportunities and a fresh start.” SLATE offers free weekly workshops on resume building, interview skills, and job-search strategies. The city’s release notes that these services are provided at no cost, and the SLATE Missouri Job Center, now in its 50th year, continues to offer employment and training resources in St. Louis, as stated by the City of St. Louis.
