Stanislaus County deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit and the County Integrated Traffic Enforcement team conducted focused patrols to curb unsafe driving. According to a Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office's Post, a driver was caught speeding over 80 mph in a 55 mph zone on McHenry Ave near Houge Rd.

The driver caught was also operating the vehicle on a suspended license due to a prior DUI, the Sheriff’s Office reported. The individual received citations for speeding and driving on a suspended DUI license, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days in accordance with state law.

The office reminded the community to drive safely and responsibly.
