Police in Suisun City chased a man, already known to law enforcement, on foot at a busy shopping center over the weekend. According to a social media post from the Suisun City Police Department, officers responded to the scene after security guards reported certain individuals who refused to leave the property. It was on Sunday, November 6th, when this all unfolded, shortly after 11 a.m.
The suspect, identified on sight due to his status on searchable probation, decided to flee when approached for a compliance search. During the ensuing pursuit, the man is said to have threatened harm against the officers giving chase. But despite the tension of the moment, the officers managed to safely apprehend him after what was described as a brief foot pursuit. Details provided by the Suisun City Police Department reveal that the man was found carrying methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, knives, and a stolen wallet — a cache of contraband that spelled out clear violations of his probation terms.
With the suspect in custody, charges have been swiftly levied against him. The list of allegations is extensive: resisting or threatening an officer, possession of a controlled substance with two prior convictions, possession of a dagger, possession of drug paraphernalia, public nuisance, trespassing, appropriation of lost property, and a probation violation.
