
A repeat offender was apprehended in Suisun City for violating camping ordinances, and upon a subsequent search, the police discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in their possession. The Suisun City Police Department detailed the incident that unfolded on the morning of November 6th when officers, during a routine patrol, recognized an individual who had previously run afoul of local laws.
The officers carried out a pedestrian stop which led to the arrest under the Suisun City Ordinance SCO 12.24.030 and section 372 PC for Public Nuisance. "During the encounter officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia on the subject," outlined the department in a social media post. The individual now faces additional charges, including a violation of 11364(a) H&S and 11377(a) H&S, each relating to the possession of controlled substances and the items used to consume them.
In their statement, the police declared a stance of empathy towards those facing life's challenges while maintaining an unwavering position against illegal activities. "We empathize and understand life’s challenges, but illegal drug use and ordinance violations have no place in our community," the police department expressed. They went on to encourage collaborative efforts to preserve the safety, cleanliness, and welcoming nature of Suisun City.
