
The City of Surprise will celebrate its 11th Annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday next week, presented by a local Toyota dealership. The parade begins at 10 a.m. along Bullard Avenue and will feature bands, dancers, and a variety of community participants. After the parade, the festivities will continue at Surprise Community Park until 3 p.m., offering live music, food trucks, a beer garden, kids’ activities, and yard games.
According to the City of Surprise release, city administrative offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day, and trash collection will be delayed by one day for city sanitation customers, with normal service resuming on Wednesday next week. Local libraries will also adjust their hours for the holiday. The Surprise Regional and Asante Libraries will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Hollyhock Library will be open until 3 p.m. Parks & Recreation programs will operate as usual, and the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Center will offer open play from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
