
A recent robbery in the Adams Morgan area ended with an arrest, according to local police. The suspect in question, 36-year-old Kantu Graham, with no listed permanent address, was taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department shortly after the incident occurred.
The robbery took place on Saturday night, with the MPD stating that around 7:39 p.m., Graham approached the victim near the 2400 block of 18th Street NW, where he assaulted them and forcibly took their backpack before attempting to escape; luckily, officers were quick to locate and arrest him close to where the robbery went down.
The arrest got Graham booked on charges of Robbery (Force and Violence), as per details released by the Metropolitan Police Department's report.
