Law enforcement officials have apprehended a suspect in connection with a recent shooting on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast. The shooting, which occurred on September 24, did not result in any personal injuries but caused property damage, igniting concerns among local residents, as the Metropolitan Police Department reported earlier today.
The arrest took place on Tuesday, following what has been described as a concerted effort by detectives to swiftly bring the individual to justice. 44-year-old Thomas Jamal Carter, a man of no fixed abode, was apprehended and has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Probation Violation, as outlined in a DC Superior Court Arrest Warrant.
