Early Friday morning, an attempt to conduct a routine traffic stop turned into a high-speed chase through east Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department signaled to a driver, suspected of impairment, to pull over near Sahara and Atlantic, according to FOX5 Vegas. Fleeing the scene around 3 a.m., the driver instead led officers on a pursuit that carried onto Interstate 11 from Boulder Highway.
The chase ultimately came to an end when the individual crashed into another vehicle on the freeway. 8 News Now reports that the driver was then taken into custody, with no immediate identification released by police.
