According to a report by CBS News Sacramento, crews from the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department arrived around 6:30 a.m. to find the house fully engulfed in flames.
The house in question is no stranger to fire, having been the site of multiple fires previously. In a twist of events that begs an eye, over the summer, county code enforcement had evicted individuals who had been residing illegally in trailers, as well as in the building that burned this past Sunday, with all occupants cited for various code violations, including trespassing.
Photos released by the fire department show that the home was left in ruins. There have been no reported injuries stemming from the incident, which aligns with the structure's status as abandoned.
