The Tampa Police Department is currently undertaking an investigation into a homicide that occurred at an apartment complex at 2400 Block of E Hillsborough Avenue. The incident, which has shocked the local community, was first responded to by officers at approximately 6:08 pm after reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found an adult female who had suffered significant upper body trauma. She was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, yet, despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. The identity of the woman has not yet been released to the public as this is an active investigation, with updates expected to be provided when they becomes available.
