The City of Tampa is gearing up for an event aimed at brightening the prospects of its local job seekers this Friday, with the launch of the inaugural Career Glow Up Job Fair, designed to connect residents with employers, and provide tools and tips for those looking to take the next step in their professional journey. The event, which is completely free to the public, is taking place at the City Center at Hanna Avenue, located at 2555 E. Hanna Ave., and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Prospective job hunters can look forward to meeting dozens of employers with open positions spanning a range of industries; moreover, there will be instant hiring opportunities, making this event not just a networking opportunity but potentially a place where careers begin or receive the kind of jumpstart that can sometimes seem like a distant dream in today's competitive job market. Attendees are also being treated to perks like live music, a complimentary lunch for those who registered in advance, giveaways, and a so-called "Career Glow Bar," where services such as free professional headshots, a resume workshop, and interview coaching are available, according to the City of Tampa.
