A tragic incident unfolded in Tampa on Sunday night, when two teenagers were involved in a serious crash while riding an ATV. The Tampa Police Department (TPD) reported that the incident took place at the intersection of E 93rd Avenue and North 20th Street at approximately 10:15 p.m., as per WFLA.
The collision occurred when the ATV, containing a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, failed to properly stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck, driven by a 17-year-old. The 14-year-old ATV rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while his companion was transported to the hospital, where he remains critical, according to FOX 13 News.
The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene, cooperating with authorities. The current state of the investigation includes a call for witnesses who might have video evidence or information that could shed light on the crash's circumstances.
