The collision occurred when the ATV, containing a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, failed to properly stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck, driven by a 17-year-old. The 14-year-old ATV rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while his companion was transported to the hospital, where he remains critical, according to FOX 13 News

The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene, cooperating with authorities.
