A statewide Blue Alert has been issued by Texas authorities as they search for a suspect named Bobby Dennis, a 64-year-old man wanted in connection to violence against a law enforcement officer. According to FOX San Antonio, Dennis was last spotted Sunday afternoon, near the intersection of Churchill Street and Benson Street in Jacksonville, Texas.
He is described as standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 152 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. His last known attire was a black jacket and all-black clothing. Police have advised the public that if the suspect is found, do not approach him but instead, call 9-1-1 or contact the Jacksonville Police Department directly at (903)586-2546. Dennis is believed to be driving a grey 2012 GMC Sierra, bearing the Texas license plate TRW3919, as reported by CBS Austin.
According to a statement obtained by FOX San Antonio, the suspect's vehicle is similarly associated with the serious injury of an officer. Authorities are urging anyone who might have information on the whereabouts of Bobby Dennis to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation
