A third suspect, 19-year-old Isaiah Crooms, has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the May 24 shooting at 5410 North Braeswood Boulevard. This incident, which began as a transaction in an apartment complex parking lot, left 18-year-old Kenneth Leaks dead and a 17-year-old male injured, according to the City of Houston.
Crooms joins previously charged suspects Miles Julian Edwards and Zion Armon Mitchell, with all three set to face trial for their roles in the shooting.
