Three individuals were transported to the hospital following a collision just off the vibrant Las Vegas Strip on Thursday afternoon. According to FOX5 Vegas, the incident, involving two vehicles and a pedestrian, led to a complete halt of northbound traffic on Paradise Road at the crossing with Karen Avenue.
Despite the turmoil that ensued, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department provided some reassurance, stating that the individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the crash, which occurred just before 5 p.m. Running close by the notorious Strip, Paradise Road was cordoned off by the authorities, urging travelers to seek alternative routes and avoid the area altogether. "This is an ongoing investigation," police said, as reported by FOX5 Vegas.
The aftermath of the crash extended beyond the immediate vicinity of the Strip, as reported by 8 News Now. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada verified that the resulting road closure impacted traffic well into the evening. The pedestrian involved, along with two vehicle occupants, was confirmed to have been taken to local hospitals.
