In an early morning incident in Port Huron Township, three 18-year-old suspects were taken into custody following a drive-by shooting, as detailed by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office. The suspects, identified as Cameron Maydwell, Tristan Aldrich, and Bryant Heinz, were arraigned on multiple felony charges following the event that reportedly occurred last Saturday. According to a CBS News Detroit report, the charges include one count each of discharging a firearm in or at a building, felony firearm, and discharging a weapon from a vehicle.
The sheriff's office was alerted to the incident around 1:30 a.m., with a resident claiming their home on W. Water Street had been shot at. A white Pontiac G6 was later pinpointed as the suspect vehicle. It wasn't long before deputies were able to locate and conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle matching the description given. Inside the car, law enforcement discovered an AR-15, ammunition, and multiple shell casings, resulting in the arrest of the teens. This information was detailed by ClickOnDetroit.
All three individuals faced arraignment on Monday, with bond set at $50,000 each. Maydwell is facing additional charges, including carrying a concealed weapon, the use of a police scanner in the commission of a felony, and malicious use of telecommunication service.
