Las Vegas experienced one of its most harrowing traffic incidents of the year on Tuesday afternoon with a massive collision involving a dozen vehicles, leaving two dead and several injured. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred on November 18, 2025, just before 3:30 p.m. on W. Cheyenne Avenue west of N. Jones Boulevard. The crash, which marks the city's 143rd and 144th traffic-related fatalities of the year, involved an Infiniti G37 that collided at high speed with multiple vehicles waiting at a red traffic signal.

The collision resulted in the death of the Infiniti's passenger, a 20-year-old female, and a 38-year-old male driver from another vehicle. Although names are yet to be released pending notification of kin, the driver of the Infiniti, Jose Gutierrez, 19, has been booked in absentia for four counts of reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm. Another driver, Jose Pena-Dominguez, 27, and his 24-year-old female passenger have been reported to have suffered serious and life-threatening injuries, respectively.

As emergency services responded to the scene, multiple other individuals involved in the accident were transported to UMC Trauma for advanced medical intervention. The extent of their injuries ranged from serious to claims of minor pain. Amongst those injured were Sharundah Robertson, Shawn Collins, Aljena Jackson, and Floyd Hilliard, with claims of non-life-threatening injuries, while Simon Fortunato, Laura De La Fuente, Analilia Rivera, Stephanie Carrillo, and several others were unscathed. Jesus Marin, a 53-year-old from Mesquite, also claimed to have sustained an injury in the multi-vehicle incident.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section continues probing the causes of the multi-vehicle crash. Authorities are working to determine what led to the incident as they gather evidence and statements from those involved.
