In a show of community spirit and support, the United Way Suncoast's resource center, partnered with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has provided holiday meals to families in need. As reported on the City of Clearwater's Facebook page, the Bucs Turkey Time event supported 70 families within the North Greenwood and Ross Norton communities this Thanksgiving.

The United Way Suncoast and the Buccaneers came together on Tuesday, to distribute full holiday meals to pre-selected families. These were no modest spread: aside from the customary turkey centerpiece, families were gifted with pumpkin pies, rolls, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and assortment of classic sides like string beans and corn.

The response from the families has been overwhelmingly positive. According to the same social media post from the City of Clearwater, recipients "were extremely grateful and appreciative of everything they received." Supporting remarks came from the community itself, with heartening words like "Fire the cannons, and enjoy the holiday season!" referencing the Buccaneers' battle cry.
