UNLV built an early lead and maintained it through halftime. Nevada’s second-quarter drive ended with a fumble recovery by UNLV’s Chief Borders, helping the Rebels secure the win, according to the Nevada Wolf Pack’s news.
Running back Jai'Den Thomas was named "Rebel of the Game" after gaining 103 yards on 11 carries. Quarterback Anthony Colandrea passed for 270 yards, becoming one of four UNLV players in history to surpass 3,000 passing yards in a season. Defensively, the Rebels allowed fewer than 20 points, with DB Jaheem Joseph recording two sacks and a forced fumble, UNLV Athletics reports.
Nevada safety Murvin Kenion III recorded two interceptions, bringing his season total to five. Caleb Ramseur rushed for two touchdowns and 95 yards. Despite these efforts, Nevada was unable to overcome UNLV, which dominated the game, according to coverage from both teams.
The Rebels await the announcement of Mountain West Championship game selections on Sunday morning.
