Upper Arlington police are currently piecing together the grim details surrounding an incident that took place on Sunday afternoon, which they are investigating as an attempted murder-suicide connected to domestic violence. The tragic events unfolded in a neighborhood along Fishinger Road, as reported by 10TV.
Arriving officers discovered a 64-year-old woman deceased inside the home, having responded to a call originating from the 1500 block of Fishinger Road. Found suffering from injuries at the scene, a 76-year-old man was promptly transported to a hospital with a condition described as stable, revealed to police. The relationship between the couple was not immediately known, but upon responding to a 911 hang-up call, a brief and urgent message was intercepted: "We need police and an ambulance," as ABC 6 detailed.
While curating the details of this spousal disturbance gone fatally awry, the authorities, while withholding the identities of the involved parties, are treating the woman's death as suspicious. According to a spokesperson with the Upper Arlington Police Department, the male found injured is considered the suspect in this act that left one dead and another in recovery.
