The Greenfield Police Department is urgently seeking the public's assistance to locate a missing 74-year-old man, Robert Ziegler, who they have described as endangered. Ziegler, a double leg amputee who uses an electric scooter, has been missing since last Wednesday and requires critical medication for his kidney failure, heart disease, and diabetes, as reported by WISN.
Ziegler was believed to be at his residence during a phone call with his son on Monday, but he suspiciously did not show up for his weekly dinner with friends the following day, which his family has said is out of character for him. His vehicle, a blue 2007 Chrysler Town and Country equipped with a handicap ramp and an electronic scooter, is also missing. A VIP sticker is distinctively placed above the Town and County emblem on his vehicle, which should make it easier to spot, according to details provided by FOX6Now.
A visit to Ziegler's home on Tuesday by his daughter-in-law revealed that his medications were untouched, and the house seemed undisturbed from her last visit. This discovery elevated the family's concerns, prompting them to realize he had left home without his essential pharmaceuticals. "His medications were untouched under the counter," his daughter-in-law reported to WISN.
The following day, family members observed that Ziegler's phone was turned off, raising an anxiety that something was amiss as he wasn't responding to any calls or messages. Upon returning to the residence, they found the home exactly as it had been the previous day, with no sign of Ziegler's return. "His vehicle was still missing, and everything was the same from when his daughter-in-law was there," his son stated in a report to WISN.
Ziegler is described as having a height of approximately 5 feet 6 inches, weighing 160 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. His vehicle's license plate is AUN9275. Anyone with information on Robert Ziegler's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Greenfield Police Department to help in the urgent matter of his safe return.
