The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office has issued a Missing Person Alert and is seeking the public's assistance in locating John Skeens, an 81-year-old resident of Chesterfield County. According to the Sheriff's Office's social media post, Skeens was last known to be traveling from Charlotte back to Chesterfield County but did not arrive as expected.
Mr. Skeens has been described as exhibiting early signs of dementia and may seem confused, or disoriented. He was believed to be driving a white single-cab 2001 Ford F-150. Concerns are high as individuals with dementia are at significant risk when they go missing, due to their potential difficulty in navigating their surroundings and communicating.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts, or anyone who might have seen the described vehicle to contact the Chesterfield County E-911 at 843-623-6838 or reach out via Facebook messaging. The Sheriff's Office emphasizes the importance of community involvement, stating, "Please share — your help could bring him home safely."
