The Vallejo Police Department's Problem-Oriented Policing Team was executing extra patrols in the area when they spotted what they deemed suspicious activity. According to a social media post from Vallejo Police Department, officers noticed a woman, despite the inclement weather, donning lingerie and apparently signaling to passing motorists near Sonoma Boulevard and Louisiana Street.
The sting perceived a woman, who was earlier dressed for a realm far removed from the rain-drenched streets, enter a silver Acura TL after it made several passes by her location. This move prompted officers to initiate a stop and investigate. Following the traffic stop, both the woman and the driver were taken into custody. It surfaced that the woman had an existing warrant for her arrest out of Los Angeles and expressed to officers a wish to leave the streets behind, seeking a path laden with emergency housing and financial assistance, which the officers willingly provided information about.
The driver's attempt at anonymity, providing a false name and lacking the ability to recall his own identifying details, proved futile upon the discovery of his identification card. The records check concluded with the revelation that he was operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license. The result is that his Acura was impounded.
