Wake Forest is preparing for its annual Lighting of Wake Forest event on December 5, hosted by Wake Forest Downtown, Inc., from 5-8 p.m. in Centennial Plaza and along East Owen Avenue, with Mayor Vivian Jones scheduled to light the town’s 30-foot Christmas tree at 6:20 p.m. The celebration will include performances by local school groups, food trucks, circus acts, and craft activities for families, according to the Town of Wake Forest.
Attendees can also explore the Wake Forest History Museum’s new exhibit, “Strolling White Street: A Photographic History of Downtown,” and enjoy Story Time at Page 158 Books from 5:20-5:40 p.m. Nothing Bundt Cakes of Wake Forest will provide free samples, making the event a festive experience for the entire community, as reported by the Town of Wake Forest.
The Town of Wake Forest will host the Lighting of Wake Forest, a free holiday event. The town is the Platinum Sponsor, with Gold Sponsors including Johnson Hyundai of Wake Forest, Brightspeed Fiber Internet, and Renewal by Andersen.
