The Wake Forest Police Department will host a BBQ Fundraiser on November 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in the Town Hall visitor parking lot at 301 S. Brooks St., and aims to provide meals while supporting a local cause, according to the Town of Wake Forest.
Each $20 BBQ plate includes portions of BBQ, baked beans, and mac and cheese, prepared by Oak & Ember Barbecue. Attendees should bring their own beverages, as none will be provided. Orders must be placed online by 5 p.m. on November 21, though additional plates may be available at the event while supplies last.
The department offers an option for community members to donate online without purchasing a BBQ plate. Those who order ahead should present their receipt at pick-up. With only 250 plates available, orders are limited and encouraged to be placed early.
All proceeds from the event will support the Wake Forest Police Department’s participation in the Staccato National SWAT Championship and help fund necessary equipment for the team.
