The Wake Forest community will have access to farm-fresh groceries as the Ripe for Revival Mobile Market, organized by the Northern Community Food Security Team (NCFST), sets up opposite the Northern Regional Center at 350 E. Holding Ave. Adjusting its usual schedule for the holiday season, the market will operate on the first and third Thursdays of November and December—today and November 20, December 4 and 18—from 3 to 4:30 p.m., regardless of weather.
The market provides a source of fresh produce, protein, and eggs from local and regional growers. Shoppers can take unlimited vegetables, while limits apply to proteins and eggs. At checkout, a suggested total is provided; customers may pay that amount, contribute more, or pay what they can. Both cash and card payments are accepted.
The initiative also includes health services. According to Wake Forest, the AmeriHealth Caritas NC Mobile Wellness Center will be on-site, offering blood pressure screenings, internet-connected computers and printers, charging stations, and information about Medicaid.
Wake Forest officials will also be distributing the 2026 wall calendar at the event. For more information about the Ripe for Revival Mobile Market, individuals can visit the dedicated website or contact Andrew Brown, Jr., Community Outreach Manager, at [email protected].
