Washington County plans to replace the timber bridge on Turk Road over West Fork Dairy Creek with a 75-foot, single-span concrete bridge designed to support heavier loads and resist earthquakes. The project is funded through the county’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program with an estimated budget of $2 million, according to the Washington County.
Residents can provide feedback on the proposed bridge during an online open house, which is available through November 23. The Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation is leading the project to ensure a safer and more durable crossing for the community.
