A 23-year-old man from Washington, D.C., has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for sexually abusing his grandmother. The sentence, handed down late last month, also includes lifetime supervised release and a requirement to register as a sex offender, as per the U.S. Attorney's Office release.
According to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro, the abuse occurred on November 28, 2023, when the defendant, armed with a knife, forcibly took his grandmother from her bedroom and subjected her to sexual and physical abuse.
The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office with support from the Metropolitan Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Marco Crocetti and Kathleen Houck led the investigation and prosecution of the case.
